Appointed as Scientist-B, with effect from May 2012, he has prior research experience in 2-dimensional nanostructures. Started his career at CMTI in Ultra Precision Metrology and later moved on to Advanced Materials and Characterization at Nanomanufacturing Technology Centre, NMTC. Currently he is the officer-in-charge of Nanomaterial Characterization Laboratory and laboratory-in-charge of Electron Microscopes (FESEM+FIB, HRTEM) & Sample Preparation Laboratory. He is also coordinating training courses and faculty services for “Electron Microscopy and Analysis” and “Microscopy and Analysis”

He got his undergraduate (B.Sc) and postgraduate (M.Sc) degree in Physics from Periyar University and Bharathidasan University respectively. Additionally, he holds a Master of Technology (M.Tech) with specialization in Nanotechnology from Anna University.
