M. Tech in “Advanced Manufacturing Technology“
Central Manufacturing Technology Institute, Bengaluru and Karunya Institute of Technology & Sciences (KITS), Coimbatore has collaboratively launched a TWO year M. Tech programme on “Advanced Manufacturing Technology” in July 2015.
The First, Second and Third semester of the course will be conducted at KITS, Coimbatore. Students also undergo Laboratory Exposure Program at CMTI during their Third Semester. Fourth semester of the course consists of individual project work& it will be carried out at CMTI, under the guidance of scientists.
M.Tech in Advanced Manufacturing Technology is a Two year (Four Semesters)course students and they will be exposed to experimental learning in advanced technology areas which includes Advanced Manufacturing Process, Mechatronics and Machine Control, Microcontrollers, Manufacturing system and simulation, Control of CNC Machine tools, Engineering Materials and Applications, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Industrial Robotics etc., through appropriate theoretical background, laboratory demonstrations, hands on participation in live. Industry focused R&D projects. During the final semester, students will be doing their project work as part of their curriculum at CMTI, Banglore which has embarked on advanced technology areas such as Nano Manufacturing, Applied Mechatronics Integration, Digital Design, Advanced Machine Tool Testing facility etc., with highly sophisticated facilities established in thrust areas of advanced manufacturing. The students are encouraged to publish their work in journals of repute and in conferences.

Post Graduate Diploma in “Additive Manufacturing”
Central Manufacturing Technology Institute, Bengaluru and College of Engineering, Pune (COEP) has collaboratively launched a ONE year Post Graduate Diploma programme on “Additive Manufacturing” in July 2010.
The first semester of the course will be conducted at COEP, Pune, wherein CMTI scientists also deliver lectures as adjunct faculties through Video Conferencing mode. Students also undergo Laboratory Exposure Program at CMTI.
Second semester of the course consists of individual project work& few of them will be carried out at CMTI, under the guidance of scientists.
College of Engineering, Pune (COEP) in association with Central Manufacturing Technology Institute (CMTI), Bangalore have started a one year post graduate diploma course in “Additive Manufacturing”. The one year course is split into two semesters. The first semester is punctuated with only theory courses and lab work of total 22 credits, while second focuses on project work of 18 credits. The Project work will be carried out at CMTI, Bangalore or in Industry in and around Pune and almost the lab at COEP.
