CMTI considers collaboration with industries as an important and strategic mission.

Collaboration ensures that CMTI’s applied research-based knowledge and technologies are being disseminated to the society. 

The mission of CMTI is to develop and utilize its expertisein manufacturing technology to benefit society. Accordingly, collaboration with external parties is a very important task in order to ensure the transfer of technology and knowledge to society.

To identify specific contextual research themes/projects in consultation with stake holders including industry & to formulate design and offer co-branded, industry focused programmes. Transfer of Technology, knowledge upgradation and research capability enhancement of the IITT faculty.

  • CeNSE, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore

To form sensors packaging Consortium with CeNSE LAM research, Western Digit applied materials & SITAR. Participation in various lecture programmes organised by CeNSE, Bangalore.

  • University of Western Michigan , USA

To carry out collaborative Research training in areas of Micro & Nano manufacturing technology. Mainly include Development of CNT-Ceramic based nano composites, nano crystalline diamond and sensors for mechanical and aerospace applications.

  • Global Innovation & Technology Alliance (GITA)

To provide credible leads for CMTI’s basket of technologies on offer in India & globally, Lead generation for CMTI’s contract R&D services, Showcasing of specified technologies & giving overall visibility to CMTI’s technological prowess, Dedicated desk at physical GIXC Launchpad events.

  • NRDC, National Research Development Corporation

Collaborated with NRDC for marketing and licensing of Technical know–how of  CMTI technologies assigned to NRDC for commercial exploitation.
