Ms. Deepa joined CMTI in the year 2009 as an apprentice officer and since then she is involved in research and development activities on state-of-art machine vision inspection systems and their integration for in-situ inspection applications. She is currently heading the Vision Technology group at CMTI. She has experience in developing machine vision solutions ranging from simple 2D inspections to complex 3D inspections involving lasers and DMD projection systems for various tasks like precision measurements, defect inspection, assembly inspection and sorting applications. She was involved in establishing the Vision systems, Mechatronics and Robotics laboratories at CMTI. These laboratories are equipped with facilities to conduct feasibility studies for various customer requirements and for other research activities. She has published several papers in national and international journals and conferences.
